Methodism had an early beginning in Savage, Maryland. Some of our oldest members recall hearing that Methodist meetings were being held at the time the Savage Mill was built, which was 1810. The Ministers appointed to this area traveled by horseback or walked, coming to Savage once a month.

Elizabeth House is a non-profit all volunteer organization that exists to help our needy neighbors in the greater Laurel area. On the second Friday of each month, UMC Savage sends a team of volunteers to Elizabeth House in Laurel located at 308 Gorman Avenue. The team assists in serving meals.
