Worship Service

The United Methodist Church of Savage offers a blended style of worship, with both contemporary and traditional elements. Our music program runs the gambit from the beautiful traditional Christian hymns, to vibrant and uplifting praise music. Also a diverse group of talented individuals in our church share their gifts from God with special music.

Worship Service

Our service is very family friendly. Our families worship together for the beginning part of the service. Following the Children’s Sermon, the children go to their Sunday School classes while the adults remain for the rest of the Worship Service.

Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of every month. You do not have to be a member of our congregation or the United Methodist Church to participate.

Sunday Worship Schedule

  • Adult Sunday School in the Fellowship Hall at 8:30 A.M.
  • Worship Service in the Sanctuary at 9:30 A.M.
  • Children & Youth Sunday School, immediately after “Children’s Message”
    • Children meet in Classrooms in the basement
    • Youth meets in Faith Ministry Center
  • Fellowship – 10:30 A.M.

On your way into Worship Service, take a look up to the top of the Bell Tower spire. The tower is capped with the finial shown below in the 1959 drawings.

A finial is a “crowning ornament.” We hope you will like ours.

So what did the finial look like before 1959? Below is a rendition from an undated drawing (but one definitely before 1959) by C. L. Grady showing quite simple dual cross design.

Mission Statement
Our vision is to Make People “Blessed” with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.* This mission is inspired by God’s call to Abraham (Genesis 12:1-3) as a source of blessings. This mission statement is deeply related to the kingdom vision of Jesus proclaimed in his inaugural speech, known as “Beatitude,” preamble of Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:3-12).
